Born in Japan, raised in Brazil.
At the age of 13, he debuted with the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra.
Two years later at age of 15, his performance of Saint-Saens Piano Concerto and Chopin's Piano Concerto in the Campos de Jordão International Music Festival brought him to the attention of the media. which led to successful concerts in South America, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Japan, France and Germany.
He studied piano at the Music Academy in Freiburg and conducting at the Music Academy Hanns Eisler Berlin. His conducting studies include: Masterclasses with Kurt Mazur ,Colin Daves , Bernard Haitink , Seiji Osawa , Christian Thieleman, Daniel Baremboin.
Mr. Cavalho worked as opera conductor and Kapellmeister among others at the Staatoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and later at Theater Brandemburg, Theater Regensburg, the National Theater Weimar, Theater Dortmund, Theater Goerlitz in Germany.
In the segment of symphonic orchestras he conducted several different orchestras such as: Wrazlaf Berliner Symphoniker, Sinfônica e Filarmônica de Minas Gerais,Hamburg Symphoniker,Mittelsächssische Philarmonie, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt/Oder, Hamburg Symphoniker,Osaka Chamber orchester, Jena Philharmoniker
Mr. Cavalho continues to perform as pianist with several chamber musicians, including the ensemble of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
As an orchestrator and arranger and Producer, he has also worked for different ensembles.
Later, he started working as a composer and participated in numerous project creating the soundtracks for variety of films.
